If you strive to be what the world judges to be "winners" then what is your moral code? Have you prayed about this? Have you put your concerns in God's hands? Sometimes the letting go is all we need to move ahead and to learn what God has in store for us. We can be very surprised!
I pray the best for you. Putting too much emphasis on being without a woman may be working against you. God may have someone truly special for you but you may have some things to do first. JMHO.
When I've been through really tough times, I try to remember 2 Corinthians 4:7-11.
God bless you.
Hey, have you ever read Richard Wurmbrand's "Tortured for Christ"? Incredible book.
@MrsMecomber: Haven't heard of Wurmbrand, but if you liked him I'll check out the book. :)
@Connie: Frankly, I don't think God has anything in store for me, other than maybe more pain and agony. That's how it's been for the last ten years, so why would the next ten be any different?
@Karen: I hope so, I really do.
I think it was Will Rogers who once said "People are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be."
God does have wonderful things in store for you. It may be next week, next year, or in the life that follows this one. You can take that to the bank. And we here all lub ya. :D
:hifi:
rock on, we lub ya.
Don't feel too bad -- whatever we have here is but temporal and will all pass one day. You can't bring success and riches with you to the grave, but you can have more than what worldly riches and success can compare against -- eternal life in Christ Jesus. That to me is worth more than anything else in the world!
I am not as successful as many of my peers -- a fact that gnawed on me often in my younger years, but when I see what they've given up, I don't desire what they have. Nothing benefits a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul. :)
Have a lovely Easter, Linc.
Shalom, and the LORD bless and keep you.
Take a moment to remember what Jesus and his apostles went through. Being a morally upstanding person, and doing what you know is right, is worth all the rewards you will receive in the end. Maybe you've been beaten down and crapped on, but stand strong, my friend. Your reward is coming - in both this life and the next.
Big hugs to you!
Thanks all. :ggrin:
Lies. Filthy lies. :nyah:
@Karen: Sent you an email. :D
Anyway, you got nice blog.

That was lovely Isaiah. I like you.
See Linc, there are many who love you, probably more than you realize. I will share something here with you and all the good people here. Back in 1977, when I lost my only son in a car accident, I too thought my life was over. While it brought me to my knees as nothing else could, I am glad I did not do what I really wanted to do. Otherwise I would never have known my grandsons born decades later. While I will never stop grieving for my boy, I know that the worst thing in God’s eyes is to end your own life. It’s like saying we have no faith in him. And I know that one day I will be rewarded and be with him forever in the next phase. You too will be rewarded for you goodness Linc.
Life is really hard for some of us, and the only thing we can do is put one foot in front of the other and continue living till God calls us home.
@ConsrvYank: Thanks for sharing that, it helps me realize no matter how bad I have it sometimes, there are always others who have gone through far worse. It reminds me of the saying, "I cried because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet."
I need to reminder that. :)
It's part of life. It happens. But I honestly do feel that things always work out for the best in the end. The road to get there may suck big ones and go in really odd directions... but in the end, it'll work out. I'm a believer in kharma and while I don't know you too well, you're a funny guy and seem to be a pretty nice guy too (don't let it get to your head), so just keep thinking positive, doing the right thing and having fun. And crank up some '80s tunes, 'cause there's nothing like Foreigner to get you back on track.

You have been through a lot more than many of us here, Sir, and I praise God that you chose to listen to Him. Your experience truly reminds me of Romans 8:28. Our best life isn't now, but in heaven with our Lord.
God bless, and Shalom!
